Hello!
We're looking for a programmer to develop a site just like fmylife.com. Users will submit stories and then other users can vote on/rate them.
The site should be easy for us to maintain once it's built. We'd really appreciate a programmer who will be able to answer questions in easy-to-understand terms if we run into any complications soon after the site launches.
Here's what we're looking for in detail:
--A list of categories in a sidebar
--The ability to add / remove / change categories
--Users can create a personal account, upload an avatar, create a profile, receive e-mail notifications, comment on stories, submit stories, vote for stories
--Users vote stories up and down
--A section for top stories based on votes
--Comments section for each story
--Easy admin functionality: admin can approve or deny stories, publish and edit stories, create new admin accounts, etc.
--Create a layout that includes space for ads
--Provide links to follow us on twitter and facebook
--A search box for users to look for specific words
--A page for admin announcements / blog
--A way for users to contact the team
