I am looking for a very simple, but complete, iphone app to help me learn how to program for the iphone. I have programmed in 'basic' years ago. I am starting to learn Objective-C, Xcode etc. I feel that the quickest was to help me learn, would be to look at a very simple project and let me play with the code.
This should be very quick and simple for anyone experienced in producing iphone apps. I would guess that it could be done in 2-3 hours max?
I am looking for someone to create a very simple, but complete, fun iphone app - I would suggest that all it needs to display is perhaps a few colored squares that illuminate in order on the screen? I am open to suggestions - anything simple. Perhaps three circles that illuminate like traffic lights ie red, amber, green, amber, red - it would pause and then do the cycle again.
It would have a 'splash' screen, then a main screen with a standard iphone choice of 5 tabs at the bottom of the screen. Perhaps one will 'start' the display cycling. Another would 'stop' the display cycle. One will allow the user to specify how many times it should cycle - this should be saved to a config file. Another to define a delay between cycles? And save to a config file. (It would be nice if it could detect horizontal/vertical orientation and adjust the display accordingly, but not essential.
What is important is that:
1. Proper, correct Objective-C is used - coding and design to be of standard that would meet apple store guidelines so that I learn things properly.
2. The code must be very well documented in considerable detail - this is really the bit I am looking for. Also required is a summary page giving a clear overview as to how everything works together.
3. Instructions on how to get it installed.
As this is a fun project, I am not looking to pay much. But I will give great feedback if well done.
If bidding, please do not send me one of those prewritten summaries - instead, please let me see an example of something done in the past. Also, please advise an hourly rate for any further work, as, if this works, I would probably want more, very simple work done.
